People First Independent Advocacy is a charity, with an excellent reputation for giving vulnerable people the help and support they need throughout the north of England. The organisation had developed over the years, with new projects, revenue streams and premises, however, there had been no one focused on marketing and everything was done on an ad-hoc basis with no real structure or planning. As the organisation developed, the marketing committee identified a need for additional marketing support; this is where they called Acorn Marketing
This was such a complex organisation that we really needed to understand what they were all about. We undertook a strategic planning session with the marketing committee to find out more about what they did and what direction they were going in. Initially, they wanted to look at their branding as they felt that their current logo was dated and didn’t really explain who they were or how they had grown. We worked with the team to develop brand concepts, which we developed further into a final suite of logos and a new brand identity. This encapsulated exactly what they did – with the strapline ‘Listen – Engage – Empower’ – defining what they were all about and al the key areas of their business.
