Awards and Accreditations
Accreditations
I’ve always been passionate about learning and developing my skills and knowledge when it comes to marketing. When you’re freelance this is particularly important so you can understand the market, any developments and what you need to be doing for clients.
It was really important for me when I set up my own marketing business that I could prove my level of knowledge and expertise. I therefore applied, and was accepted, to become a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2012.
“Chartered Marketer status recognises those marketers achieving the highest level in our profession. It demonstrates commitment to keeping up-to-date and is awarded on a combination of experience and qualifications. In 1998, The Queen’s Privy Council granted us the authority to award Chartered Marketer status – the mark of an up-to-date, experienced and qualified marketing professional.”
The Chartered Institute of Marketing

Each year I undertake CPD (Continued Professional Development) through self-study, training courses and webinars and reading. This ensures my knowledge and skills remain up to date and I am giving my clients the best advice and service possible.
Awards
I always stress to my clients the importance of entering awards, not only are they recognition of all your hard work, but also great for PR and marketing too. At the end of the da y if you can’t blow your own trumpet, then who will! So, I try to practice what I preach and have entered, been nominated for and won a few awards myself:
- 2019 – Finalist for the Enterprise Vision Awards (Professional Services)
